South Carolina is having a field day against Florida’s defense, and a huge third-quarter play by Deebo Samuel might be the best example.

The Gamecocks redshirt senior took a short pass 89 yards against the Gators, breaking through two tackles before getting pulled down just seven yards shy of the goal line. You can see Samuel’s amazing catch-and-run below, courtesy of a gif from the SEC Network’s official Twitter account.

The play came on a second and 13 from South Carolina’s 4-yard line, making the huge gain an even bigger backbreaker for a struggling Florida defense. South Carolina punched it in two plays later on a 4-yard rush by Rico Dowdle, which put the Gamecocks ahead 31-14.

The No. 15 Gators responded with a 10-play touchdown drive, but South Carolina still holds a 31-21 lead early in the fourth quarter. Samuel is likely looking for another big gain to put this game away.
