Things are heating up late in the recruiting season for Daylon Mack, one of the nation’s top five-star defensive ends who committed to Texas A&M last October.

Over the last three weeks, Mack’s taken an official visit to TCU and an unofficial to LSU. He expressed his satisfaction with each on Twitter. The Horned Frogs scored 82 points in a win over Texas Tech while the Tigers lost a dramatic overtime affair with Alabama last weekend during Mack’s time on campus.

LSU assistant Frank Wilson has kept in contact with Mack since the Gladewater, Texas product committed to Texas A&M during his junior season. Mack mentioned Monday morning that another trip to Baton Rouge may be happening.

Mack performed well at Nike’s ‘The Opening’ event over the summer, showing power at the point of attack against some of the nation’s top offensive linemen. If he signs with Texas A&M, Mack’s a much-needed addition up front on a defense that’s lacked strength against run-dominant offenses back-to-back seasons in the SEC.

In a recent interview with GigEm247, Mack reaffirmed his love for the Aggies.

“I’m still committed to A&M. I can’t give a percentage on it or anything but I’m still committed.”
