Jimbo Fisher: Micheal Clemons may need surgery on injured foot, could miss some time
Texas A&M could be losing a starter on the defensive line, at least for now.
On Saturday, Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher told the media that junior defensive end Micheal Clemons has a foot injury that could require minor surgery, which would sideline him for a short period of time.
“We may have to go in and put a screw in it, may be out for a little bit of time,” Fisher said.

Fisher added that Clemons, who sustained the injury during practice, shouldn’t be out for a substantial amount of time and that Texas A&M has other defensive linemen — including senior Kingsley Keke and freshman Bobby Brown III — who will help fill the temporary void.
Clemons played in all 12 games for Texas A&M last season, recording 15 tackles and a sack.
The Aggies open the 2018 season on Aug. 30 against Northwestern State. It is unknown whether Clemons will be back to play in the opener.
