Kevin Sumlin’s built a recruiting monster thus far in College Station, but there’s still copious amounts of work to be done over the next several months and winter before Texas A&M’s satisfied with what it has coming in its 2016 signing class.

In the early going, the Aggies are just inside the Top 20 nationally with five total commitments including the top player in Texas, No. 1 tackle overall Gregory Little.

Gregory Little, OT, Allen, Texas (five-star) — Is this kid Texas A&M’s next cornerstone left tackle perhaps? The nation’s second-ranked player overall and No. 1 at his position, Little possess tremendous quickness at a manageable 6-foot-5, 305 pounds and has the best footwork of any offensive lineman in 2016, according to scouts. Little’s a must-get for the Aggies who have currently secured only three commitments from the Top 25 players in Texas. His father, Derrick Little, played linebacker at South Carolina.

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Potomac, Md. (four-star) — The fifth-best pro-style passer in the country, Haskins favors the home state Maryland Terrapins among 37 FBS-level offers. Aggies offensive coordinator Jake Spavital is the point man for Haskins’ recruitment, but the only SEC program appearing to have a legitimate shot to land the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder is LSU, one of nine league teams to offer. This weekend, Haskins plans to meet with Florida coach Jim McElwain in Gainesville. Texas A&M could jump back into the mix later this year depending on 2015 five-star signee Kyler Murray’s situation with baseball.

Michael Divinity, LB, Marrero, La. (four-star) — Defensive coordinator John Chavis could use an outside linebacker of Divinity’s caliber down the road, but coaxing him to sign with the Aggies will be a challenge. LSU’s Frank Wilson is on him hard and Divinity’s Crystal Ball is leaning 93 percent toward the in-state Tigers. Divinity’s stock continues to rise and he has picked up four other SEC offers since signing day.

Justin Madubuike, DE, McKinney, Texas (four-star) — Texas A&M appears to be in a three-way battle with Ole Miss and Texas for this talented pass rusher, one who could fit in nicely behind Myles Garrett as a depth option. The Aggies and Longhorns offered two weeks apart during Madubuike’s junior season and he received offers in February from Auburn and Vandebilt among others. Only Manor’s Erick Fowler is ranked higher off the edge in the state of Texas.

Trayveon Williams, RB, Houston, Texas (four-star) — An future every-down all purpose back with great speed, Williams named the Aggies as his leader on Feb. 5 and got a call from TCU the following afternoon. He has taken unofficials to Ft. Worth and Houston (Cougars) this month, but remains a Texas A&M lean. Williams rushed for nearly 2,400 yards and 25 touchdowns as a junior.
