Tennessee is off to an impressive start in 2014.

The Vols are 2-0 and have outscored opponents 72-26 through their first two games. Tennessee has looked strong on both sides of the football against the likes of Utah State and Arkansas State, however, will have their hands full against No. 4 Oklahoma Saturday in Norman, OK. Tennessee will need to see big performances from several players to compete with the highly favored Sooners.

Here’s 5 players to watch for in Saturday’s game.

1. QB Justin Worley: Justin Worley is off to the best start of his career. Worley has 520 yards and five touchdowns on 49-of-76 passing through two games. He is averaging 260 yards per game and a 141.03 efficiency rating. Skeptics are wondering if Worley will eventually come back down to Earth against tougher competition. Tennessee fans are hoping he can continue his success as the schedule grows increasingly competitive. Either way, Worley will be one of the most important factors to the Vols’ success on Saturday.

2. RB Jalen Hurd: Of all Tennessee’s freshmen, Jalen Hurd may have the most pressure this season. Not only was he a five-star prospect and major key to Tennessee’s rebuilding project, he’s also seen the majority of carries from the backfield this season. After splitting carries evenly with Marlin Lane in Week 1, Hurd saw 23 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown against Arkansas State this past weekend. For his efforts, Hurd was named SEC Freshman of the Week, the first running back to represent Tennessee since 2005. He may be listed as the team’s No. 2 tailback, but Hurd is clearly the featured back in Tennessee’s offense through two games.

3. WR Marquez North: Marquez North is a freak, plain and simple. After a forgettable season debut, North hauled in two touchdown receptions for the first time in his career as part of four catches for 68 yards. Entering Week 3, North has a team-best 106 yards and is likely to see even more targets in the absence of No. 2 wideout Von Pearson.

4. Owen Williams: A surprise to many, JUCO transfer Owen Williams enjoyed a breakout performance Saturday with five tackles, including two sacks for 12 yards. Williams has seen time in both of Tennessee’s games as the backup to nose tackle to Danny O’Brien. However, Williams will likely see an increased role after enjoying a strong showing last week.

5. A.J. Johnson: A.J. Johnson came back to Tennessee for his senior season to win. Statistically, he’s already proven enough to be listed among the all-time great Vol linebackers. However, he’s been a part of some of the worst teams in Tennessee’s history, suffering three losing seasons during his collegiate career. Johnson is hungry in his final season and will look to shine on the national stage against a tough Oklahoma team.
