Tennessee is down yet another safety entering Saturday’s matchup at Florida.

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, special teams ace Evan Berry has been ruled out due to injury. This news comes one day after it was revealed fellow safety Todd Kelly Jr. didn’t travel with the team due to a lingering knee injury. In addition to his duties at safety, Berry also served as the Volunteers’ primary kick returner.

With Berry out, the Times Free Press reported freshman Ty Chandler would step in to return kickoffs. He excelled in that area last week, returning a kickoff for a touchdown against Indiana State.

Berry’s loss is another blow to Tennessee’s depth in the secondary, where it now has little veteran leadership behind Micah Abernathy and Nigel Warrior.

Saturday’s game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will air on CBS and kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
