Leaving no stone unturned in recruiting, Alabama is already looking a recruiting class ahead in anticipation for the 2019 recruiting cycle. One player the Tide have begun feeling out may not have a familiar name but he does have a small tie to the university, he’s the great-grandson of a guy named Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant.

Alabama isn’t alone in recruiting Trussville, Ala., prospect Paul Tyson, as Clemson, Notre Dame, and Mississippi State have all begun to reach out to the 6-foot-4, 210-pound 2019 quarterback prospect. Tyson unofficially visited Tuscaloosa last weekend and is planning another unofficial visit to Clemson this weekend.

While none of the aforementioned schools have extended a scholarship offer to Tyson, considering his impressive list of early suitors, it appears only a matter of time before the offers begin to roll in.

Should Alabama pull the trigger and extend an offer, it seems likely Tyson would sign on to play for the school. Hank South of Bama Online recently interviewed Tyson about the possibility of landing an Alabama offer.

“That’d just be an honor,” Tyson said, according to South. “They’ve always been a good team. That’d be amazing especially with my great-grandfather there. That’d be something special.”

Bryant may have last coached Alabama during the 1982 season but his it looks like his legacy of giving to Alabama may continue on for the foreseeable future should Tyson suit up in Crimson and White.
