Other than Blake Sims a couple of years ago, Alabama hasn’t had many quarterbacks with the ability to run in recent years.

That’s all changed in 2016 with true freshman Jalen Hurts at the helm.

Though Hurts is still a bit raw in the passing game, there’s no doubting what he can do with his legs.

Yesterday alone, Hurts had more rushing yards than a pair of Alabama title-winning quarterbacks had in their entire careers:

McElroy and McCarron both won national titles with the Crimson Tide. As a true freshman, the sky is the limit for Hurts moving forward.

For the season, Hurts has a total of 428 rushing yards and has scored eight touchdowns with his legs.
