Exactly one week after it was reported that Arkansas lost its running backs coach Jemal Singleton to the NFL, the Razorbacks have found his replacement.

According to FootballScoop.com, Arkansas has hired Kansas running backs coach Reggie Mitchell to fill the same role.

Mitchell spent the past six seasons with the Jayhawks, serving as the team’s running backs coach for that whole duration on top of being the recruiting coordinator for four of those years.

Mitchell is Arkansas’ third running backs coach in as many seasons as Singleton left Fayetteville after just one season to join the Indianapolis Colts in the same capacity. The year before that, Joel Thomas left to become the New Orleans Saints running backs coach.

Mitchell has also spent time coaching at other Power 5 schools in Illinois, Michigan State and Minnesota while also serving as a grad assistant at Michigan.
