Out with one former SEC running back, in with another.

With Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy likely out for Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears, the team acted quickly to replace ex-Alabama star, trading for former Arkansas RB Knile Davis.

It appears Davis is in line to get the start on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.

It won’t be easy for Davis, who only has one carry for -2 yards this season, to learn the playbook for Green Bay on such short notice, but he’ll surely jump at the chance to contribute.

He is also a talented kick returner, having returned two for touchdowns in his four-year career.
