Auburn WR Ryan Davis has been one of the top pass catchers in the SEC the past two years, working the middle of the field like an expert for the Tigers.

Though he didn’t score a touchdown this year, he made 64 catches for 523 yards and also contributed as a punt returner. Last year, he had 84 catches for 815 yards and five scores.

As Davis prepares for the Music City Bowl, he knows it’s his last chance to show that he deserves a shot at the NFL. Per AL.com, he said he wants to show that he can do it all at the next level:

“I just want to show that I’m an all-around receiver,” Davis said. “I know a lot of people get the misconception that I’m a short-yardage guy or someone who can’t really run routes. Not big enough. But I definitely feel like there’s a place for me in the NFL — whether it’s on special teams, punt return, or just in the slot, doing different things.”

Davis doesn’t have the prototypical size many NFL receivers have, but we’ve seen smaller guys find great success at the pro level.

One of the 32 teams will likely give Davis a chance, and then it’s up to him to make the most of it.
