Former Georgia DB Sanders Commings signs deal with the Atlanta Braves
Georgia native and former Bulldog DB Sanders Commings will get to live his baseball dream this season, according to FOX Sports reporter Ken Rosenthal.
After a brief NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, the ex-Georgia defender has signed a minor-league deal with the Atlanta Braves:

Though Commings still has a very long way to go to reach the big leagues, Rosenthal noted that the Braves have a history of turning football stars into useful baseball players:
#Braves have history with NFL players: Deion Sanders, Brian Jordan. Commings faces longer odds; his last competitive game was in 2008.

Commings was a fifth-round pick of the Chiefs in the 2013 NFL Draft. He snagged eight interceptions during his Georgia career.
He hasn’t played a competitive baseball game since his senior year of high school in 2008.
