High school football not only started in Mississippi Thursday night, but in Georgia as well. Houston County, led by UGA quarterback commit Jake Fromm, beat Mary Persons, led by defensive end and UGA target Malik Herring, 26-14.

Fromm, one of the top quarterback prospects in the nation, had a strong fan section of the stadium Thursday night, rooting on the future Bulldog:

After the game, it was all love between the two players, as there is a good chance Fromm and Herring will be teammates this time next year:

Rated as a Top 60 overall prospect and the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the nation for the 2017 recruiting cycle, Fromm put on an impressive performance in his first game of the season – throwing for over 400 yards and four touchdowns:

The future of Georgia’s offense looks to be in fantastic hands for years to come with Fromm ideally coming in to backup Jason Eason immediately and perhaps push him for playing time early in his career.
