Earlier Monday, Kentucky released a depth chart that listed Drew Barker as its starting quarterback.

That raised some eyebrows as Barker was carted off the field due to a back injury in the first quarter of the New Mexico State game.

Monday evening, coach Mark Stoops clarified that he doesn’t think Barker will be able to practice on Wednesday and prepare for the game Saturday against South Carolina.

The Wildcats will try for their first conference win of the season against the Gamecocks on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
