If reports are accurate, Mark Stoops is set to add a defensive assistant to his Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff.

According to Football Scoop, Dillon Sanders will be brought on to coach outside linebackers for Kentucky. Kentucky lost one of the better linebacker coaches and recruiters in the SEC in April when Andy Buh left the Wildcats to become the defensive coordinator at Maryland.

Sanders previous stop was at Utah State, although he was set to work with Colorado State this season until Stoops lured him away from Colorado Springs.

While landing an assistant coach from Utah State may seem like a ho-hum type of hire, the Aggies did just send two linebackers to the NFL in third-round pick in Nick Virgil (No. 87 overall to Cincinnati) and another third-round pick Kyler Fackrell (No. 88 overall to Green Bay).

Kentucky already has one of the best recruiting classes in the nation lined up for 2017 and now can pitch to recruits another coach on staff with experience of getting players to the NFL.
