WATCH: Kentucky student hits half-court shot on 'GameDay' to win $19,000
This might be a good omen for John Calipari’s squad.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” is in Lexington for Saturday night’s showdown between No. 1 Tennessee and No. 5 Kentucky. As part of the show’s festivities, a UK student had the opportunity to make a half-court shot for a cash prize. He was successful, taking home $19,000 for making it. The student was mobbed by the Wildcats team and mascot on hand, as you can see in the video from Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones.
Language warning: ESPN censors were apparently asleep at the wheel as multiple f-bombs were heard on the broadcast.

Welp, Kentucky student splashes the halfcourt shot and … didn’t seem to know he was mic’d. “Let’s (bleepin’) go! Let’s (bleepin’) go! Let’s (bleepin’) go!” To be fair, he did just win $19,000 for hitting a halfcourt shot on national TV.
