During Saturday’s second-round NCAA Tournament matchup between Maryland and LSU, the Terrapins found themselves trailing by double digits for much of the game.

However, the Terps eventually battled back, even taking a lead late in the game. It didn’t last, though, as a last-second layup by LSU PG Tremont Waters sent Maryland home via a 69-67 loss.

After the game, Maryland coach Mark Turgeon was understandably disappointed, as it was a rough way for his team’s season to end. He said in his postgame press conference that his team knew it was coming, but Waters just made a great play:

To be fair, Maryland did play great defense on the play. As you can see below, Waters simply made what could be described as an impossible shot to send the Tigers to the Sweet 16:
