Dak Prescott found not guilty on DUI and speeding charges
Leading up to his preparation for the 2016 NFL Draft, former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was shockingly arrested in Starkville on suspicion of DUI in March. Wednesday, Prescott had his day in court and was found not guilty of DUI and speeding charges.
The news was first reported by Joel Coleman, Mississippi State beat writer for Starkville Daily:

According to Coleman, who was present during the court proceedings, the charges against Prescott seem dubious at best. The two arresting officers made two wide-ranging, conflicting statements on the night in question:
The officer who made the original stop said Prescott seemed sober. Another said he saw bloodshot eyes, stumbling, etc.

But it wasn’t just the officers’ words that likely set Prescott free and clear, it was a video played in the courtroom that appeared to show Prescott in a clear state of mind:

Following his senior season in Starkville, Prescott was ultimately selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. The decision comes at a good time for Prescott, as the Cowboys begin training camp Thursday.
