Impressive Jeffery Simmons stat shows Mississippi State lineman is nation's best interior pass rusher
Quarterbacks going up against Mississippi State next season have every reason in the world to lose sleep this offseason as the Bulldogs return not only the SEC’s leading sack artist in defensive end Montez Sweat but the nation’s best interior pass rusher in defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons.
According to Pro Football Focus, Simmons leads all returning defensive tackles in the country with 41 quarterback pressures. In addition to that impressive number, Simmons also registered 12 tackles-for-loss, five sacks, 60 tackles and two forced fumbles in 2017.
