Mississippi State will be without two starters Friday night for its game against BYU. Starting RB Brandon Holloway and FS Kivon Coman did not make the trip to Provo, Utah.

Logan Lowery of The D Journal says both absences are due to injury:

Starting in their places will be RB Ashton Shumpert and FS Mark McLaurin.

Holloway has 45 carries on the season for 208 yards and a touchdown. Shumpert has recorded 30 rushes for 155 yards and a score.

Coman has logged 28 total tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, along with two interceptions. McLaurin has posted 25 total tackles, including one tackle for loss.

MSU at BYU is scheduled for a 10:15 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN.
