As Mizzou prepares for Saturday afternoon’s game against a tough Middle Tennessee passing attack, senior CBs Aarion Penton and John Gibson will be important for the Tigers.

If the corners can shut down QB Brent Stockstill and the Blue Raiders’ vaunted passing game, the Tigers should win easily. If not, it could be a long day for Mizzou.

In an article on the two senior corners by STLToday.com, Gibson said he’s anxious for the chance to face a team that throws the ball as much as Middle Tennessee:

“Hopefully,” Gibson said, “we can get our hands on a few of them.”

Both Penton and Gibson have three interceptions, one behind Florida’s Jalen Tabor for the SEC lead. With the Gators off this weekend, Penton and Gibson have a chance to either tie or take the lead from Tabor.

Mizzou and Middle Tennessee kick off at 3 p.m. Central time. The game can be seen on the SEC Network.
