The SEC has its typical dominating showing Wednesday on National Signing Day with 23 of the nation’s top 50 (two remained unsigned) high school recruits signing with SEC teams.

Georgia and Alabama each signed three of the nation’s top 20 recruits. Ole Miss signed two and Auburn, LSU, Arkansas and Mississippi State signed one apiece as six conference schools were represented in the top 20.

Ole Miss, Alabama and Auburn finished with four top 50 recruits with Georgia, Florida and LSU each signing three.

Alabama signed the No. 1 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.com, with LSU at No. 3, Ole Miss at No. 4, Georgia at No. 7 and Auburn at No. 9. Other top 25 classes were brought in by Florida (13), Tennessee (14), Texas A&M (18), Arkansas (25). South Carolina was No. 26.

The SEC’s recruits include Georgia’s Jacob Eason, an early enrollee whose honors included national player of the year awards from Gatorade, USA Today and the Maxwell Football Club.

Several SEC signees were selected to the USA Today All-USA high school football team.
