With Louisville’s reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson returning next season, along with Oklahoma Heisman finalist Baker Mayfield and USC’s rising sophomore Sam Darnold all returning to college football in 2017, the early Heisman race appears to be quite loaded heading into the offseason.

While the three aforementioned quarterbacks currently have the best odds to take home the trophy (Darnold: 9/1, Jackson: 13/2, Mayfield: 13/2), the next two players on Bovada’s list hail from Alabama, with Georgia running back Nick Chubb not far behind.

According to the latest Heisman projections from Bovada, Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough has improved his odds from 15/1 to 9/1 with his teammate, quarterback Jalen Hurts, improving from 12/1 to 10/1. Meanwhile, Chubb sits at 16/1 after opening at 25/1.

While those three are improving, three fellows SEC players odds are currently going in the wrong direction. LSU running back Derrius Guice is at 16/1 after opening at 15/1, Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald is at 25/1 after opening at 22/1 and Auburn running back Kam Pettway is at 28/1 after opening at 25/1.

Which player would you give the best odds to bring home the 2017 Heisman Trophy?
