South Carolina is a completely different team with Deebo Samuel in the lineup. That type of hyperbole is often said about many players but it’s actually true about the Gamecock receiver.

When he’s not catching touchdowns for South Carolina, he finished tied for second-most TD grabs despite playing in only three full games last season, he’s returning kicks to the house, his two kick return scores last season were the only ones registered by the Gamecocks on the year.

For all the positive things you can say about Samuel, the one glaring weakness in his game is the ability to stay on the field. He’s missed the majority of three college football seasons due to injury but he hasn’t let that slow down his progress since his latest on-field setback.

The SEC Network recently chronicled Samuel’s comeback attempt and spoke to his coaches and teammates regarding the type of player and person the football program is fortunate enough to have in Samuel. Here is the video titled, “Nothing holding Deebo Samuel back on road to recovery:”
