Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight is as much of a leader off the field as he is on it.

The senior organized a humanitarian trip to Haiti last summer for some fellow student-athletes and is also active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Because of his dedication to his community, Knight was named the 2016 Wuerffel Trophy winner:

The Wuerffel Trophy honors the college football player most dedicated to community service, and Knight has certainly proved his worth in that regard.

He’s also been a great asset for the Aggies on the field, where he finished the regular season with 2,122 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. He also added 594 yards and 10 scores on the ground.

The Aggies will face Kansas State in the Texas Bowl on Dec. 28.
