It didn’t take long for Marquill Osborne to find his new home.

A week after announcing his plans to transfer from Tennessee, Marquill Osborne announced he will continue his college football career at Charlotte.

Osbourne, who just completed his junior season at Tennessee, is from Cornelius, N.C., which is less than a half hour drive away from Charlotte. He’ll be playing for coach Will Healy, recently hired from Austin Peay after Charlotte fired coach Brad Lambert following a 5-7. One of those seven losses for Lambert’s 49ers this season was against Tennessee.

In 30 appearances for UT, Osborne recorded 19 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, two interceptions, four passes defended, a blocked punt, and a punt return for a touchdown.
