When Greyson Lambert transferred from Virginia to Georgia in 2015, Bulldogs QB Jacob Park knew his time in Athens was coming to a close.

According to 247Sports, the former Top 100 prospect was brought in under former OC Mike Bobo and did not click with his replacement, Brian Schottenheimer, leading to Park transferring out of Georgia in search of a new opportunity.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Park’s next FBS home will be at Iowa State this fall.

Park surprised some when he ended up enrolling at Trident Technical College during the 2015 fall semester, but he kept himself involved in the game in a unique way.

“I played in a church flag football league back home for three months,” Park laughed. “I got my fixes.”

He enrolled at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, where he was planning to play this fall until the opportunity at Iowa State came along. He’ll graduate with an associated degree in May, according to the report, before heading to Iowa State in the fall.

“I don’t even know if exciting can describe it,” Park said. “I feel blessed to have another opportunity. I know a lot of people don’t get one shot at it. I’m getting two. I’m going to make the best of it.”
