LSU running back Leonard Fournette was absent from today’s spring practice after suffering what was described as a “minor soft tissue injury” and his timetable for a return is unknown, per The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger.

Obviously any injury to the star running back is going to be magnified, but it seems like LSU is just being safe by taking this precaution.

Fournette, a Heisman Trophy candidate and arguably the best running back in college football, rushed for 1,953 yards (SEC-high 162.8 per game) and 22 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2015.
