Long-time Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is not exactly an SEC favorite based on some of his comments over the years.

He’s probably not making any new fans down South with his recent recruiting moves.

Stoops had a clear message to recruits on Sunday afternoon:

On Sunday evening, he and the Sooners staff successfully flipped three-star WR Zach Farrar from his Mississippi State commitment.

Here’s a look at the message Farrar posted to Twitter:

Farrar was on an official visit with the Sooners over the weekend, and had just been committed to the Bulldogs for a little over a week following his visit to Starkville. He did have very nice parting words for the community in his Twitter message.

Stoops also took advantage of a little bit of Alabama drama from Sunday as well.

Three-star LB Riley Cole decommitted from the Crimson Tide with a critical letter that he posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

It appears that less than eight hours later, Stoops had swooped in with a new offer extended to Cole:

While it is easy to dislike Stoops for the things he says about the SEC, this is all part of the cutthroat recruiting business as signing day approaches.

These final days of decisions for the 2016 recruiting class won’t be for the faint of heart.
