Everybody likes to feast on a cupcake from time to time, and SEC teams are no exception. Over the past 10 seasons, two SEC schools — Kentucky and Ole Miss — have played 11 games against FCS opponents, with the Wildcats going 11-0, the Rebels 10-1.

Two schools — LSU and Tennessee — have played the fewest. Over the past decade, the Tigers and Volunteers each went 6-0 against FCS opponents; the Vols did not face an FCS school from 2006-09, and the only FCS matchup on the Tigers’ 2015 slate — against McNeese State — was canceled after a four-hour delay due to lightning.

Since 2006, three SEC schools have lost to FCS foes. Florida fell to Georgia Southern 26-20 in 2013; Ole Miss was outlasted by Jacksonville State 49-48 in double overtime in 2010 and South Carolina lost at home to the Citadel 23-22 last year.

Texas A&M has had the easiest time against lower-rung teams, going 7-0 against them while winning by an average of 43 points. On the other hand, South Carolina has outscored FCS squads by an average of only 22 points since 2006.

Kentucky had two FCS schools on its schedule in 2008 — Norfolk State and Western Kentucky, which became an FBS school in 2009. Ole Miss faced two FCS teams in 2009, when it stomped Southeast Louisiana 52-6 and beat Northern Arizona 38-14.

Eleven SEC teams have been perfect against FCS schools over the past decade. In alphabetical order, here’s a look at how easily each conference school has feasted on cupcakes over that span.
