During his time as LSU’s athletic director, Joe Alleva has faced some difficult decisions, many of which have led to questions regarding the performance of his own job duties in Baton Rouge.

Whether it was the conclusion to the 2015 season, in which head coach Les Miles was seemingly fired then rehired during the Texas A&M game, to the ultimate firing of Miles four games into this season, and of course, the Hurricane Matthew fiasco with Florida – which led to the rescheduled game. None of those things put Alleva in a particularly good light. However, his legacy at LSU will be defined by the success or failure of Ed Orgeron as the school’s head football coach.

So, what exactly was it that sold Alleva on Orgeron? Following Orgeron’s introductory press conference as LSU’s full-time head coach, Alleva answered that question along with others (including LSU’s offense moving forward) for the media following Orgeron’s press conference.
