Not every talented SEC junior joined Laremy Tunsil, Derrick Henry and Laquon Treadwell in a mad dash for NFL cash.

Some chose to return to school.

Here are the five best SEC standouts who are returning for their senior season:

Chad Kelly, Ole Miss QB

Kelly broke school records and was coy during the decision-making process before deciding to return. His return offsets the early departures of Tunsil and Treadwell and ensures the Rebels of a having a chance to again contend for an SEC West title next season. Kelly, who will throw to targets new and familiar, has a chance to become the first SEC QB to throw for 4,000 yards in multiple seasons.

O.J. Howard, Alabama TE

Howard’s stock soared after his dominant performance in the championship game victory over Alabama. His size and speed would have made him a combine star. Tide OC Lane Kiffin joked that they’d been saving Howard all season. That won’t be the case next year. As he showed against an extremely talented Clemson secondary, he’s a matchup nightmare — and his return will take pressure off whichever quarterback wins Alabama’s starting job.

Tre’Davious White, LSU CB

“DBU” won’t need to lean on its next wave as quickly as feared after White announced he was returning. White, a second-team All-SEC pick, was one of the top 20 draft prospects, according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper.

Fellow juniors Kendell Beckwith and center Ethan Pocic also decided to return, a positive turn of events for embattled coach Les Miles, who has lost at least three underclassmen in each of the previous four drafts, according to ESPN.

Jonathan Allen, DE Alabama

As enjoyable as Howard’s tweet was, this likely was Nick Saban’s favorite tweet of the new year:

Allen led the Tide with 12.0 sacks and his return eases the early departure of A’Shawn Robinson and losses of seniors Reggie Ragland and Jarran Reed.

Skai Moore, LB, South Carolina

Moore’s decision was an early signing bonus for new coach Will Muschamp. Moore has led the Gamecocks in tackles each of his first three seasons and he’ll serve as a playmaker and vocal leader during another season of transition in 2016.
