8 SEC players to be taken in first round, according to CBS mock draft
Eight SEC players are slated to go in the first round of the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft, according to CBS Sports’ latest mock draft released on Monday.
That includes the first name that will be called at the ceremony.
Here’s a look at those players:
OVERALL PICK | POS., PLAYER | SCHOOL | NFL TEAM |
---|---|---|---|
No. 1 | OT Laremy Tunsil | Ole Miss | Tennessee Titans |
No. 9 | CB Vernon Hargreaves | Florida | Tampa Bay Bucs |
No. 12 | DT A’Shawn Robinson | Alabama | New Orleans Saints |
No. 14 | MLB Reggie Ragland | Alabama | Oakland Raiders |
No. 15 | WR Laquon Treadwell | Ole Miss | L.A. Rams |
No. 20 | DE/OLB Leonard Floyd | Georgia | N.Y. Jets |
No. 27 | DT Jarran Reed | Alabama | Green Bay Packers |
No. 32 | DT Robert Nkemdiche | Ole Miss | Denver Broncos |
Alabama and Ole Miss are both picked to have three players each while Florida and Georgia have the others.
Meanwhile, in the full mock you’ll notice that CBS has seven, yes seven, Ohio State players going in the first round. That would be a record.
