However, that’s what happened to Florida State on Saturday against No. 10 Louisville.

The Cardinals scored early and often and led 63-17 over the Seminoles late in the fourth quarter.

The 46-point margin of defeat would be the second-worst loss ever suffered by a No. 2 team:

The largest margin of defeat in FSU history was 49 points and it came in a 1973 game against Florida.
