From his apparent booger-eating on the sidelines to his appearance in a rap video to his perfectly pleated khakis, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has continually confounded the college football world.

But his latest on-field antic might just take the cake.

Harbaugh is one of few coaches who still embraces the I-formation, but he might be a little too fond of it. He designed a formation in which all 11 players lined up behind each other, which he displayed during No. 4 Michigan’s tilt with No. 8 Wisconsin on Saturday.

Naturally, Twitter users had a hard time grasping just what Harbaugh was going for with this one.

Whatever it was, the formation worked out in the end. The Wolverines scored to take a 7-0 lead against the Badgers early in the second quarter.
