Alabama, Florida and South Carolina are reportedly in the running for a highly coveted athlete in the Class of 2017.

Hamsah Nasirildeen, a four-star prospect for Concord (N.C.) High School, named those three SEC schools among his top five, his coach told 247Sports’ Barton Simmons. Rounding out his top five are ACC powerhouses Clemson and Florida State.

The 6-3, 210-pounder is rated as an outside linebacker despite currently playing safety and receiver. The 247Sports composite rankings pegs him as the No. 153 prospect in the cycle and No. 3 in the state of North Carolina.

Nasirildeen has visited Tuscaloosa twice, most recently taking a trip there for Alabama’s spring game. He also visited Clemson, Florida and Florida State in the month of April.

Nasirildeen has also been offered by Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Penn State, West Virginia and Virginia Tech among others.
