WATCH: Bowling Green to honor 111 students who died while serving in the military
When the Bowling Green Falcons take the field for Saturday’s game, they’ll do so in what will certainly be the coolest helmets in the country.
That’s because the team will honor the 111 former Bowling Green students who have died while serving in the U.S. military.
As you can see in the video below, the Falcons will not only have a patriotic decal on the side of the helmets, but will also have the 111 names listed in the stripe on the top of the helmets:
Saturday is Military Appreciation Day. We remember the 111 fallen BGSU students on our helmets. pic.twitter.com/7yxtfcgQgn

That’s quite the gesture for the families of the fallen soldiers, and it’s sure to be a special Military Appreciation Day for the Falcons.
Bowling Green hosts the Akron Zips on Saturday night. The game kicks off at 6 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN3.
