The latest SEC team to reveal a commemorative helmet decal this season, Texas A&M will honor the program’s first Heisman winner — John David Crow — by wearing a black and white ’44’ sticker.

Crow died in June at the age of 79.

Crow won the Heisman at Texas A&M in 1957 and later coached at Alabama. He returned to College Station in 1983 as assistant athletic director before taking over the head job in 1988.

LSU, Florida and South Carolina have all announced new helmet decals this fall.
