Chad Johnson knows what it takes to be a cornerback in the NFL, and he likes what he sees from Joejuan Williams.

The former outspoken wide receiver shared a highlight clip of Williams on Twitter in a recent preseason game playing for the New England Patriots against the Tennessee Titans. “Beautiful hips, footwork & transition,” he tweeted, and added some fire emojis.

Williams was drafted in the in the second round (45th overall) by New England. At Vanderbilt, Williams played in 36 career games over three seasons and posted 119 tackles, four interceptions, 30 passes defensed and one forced fumble. The Titans game was a homecoming of sorts for Williams.

Against the Titans’ best receiver, Corey Davis, Williams didn’t allow a catch, and he made an impressive pass-breakup when he stuck to Davis’ out-route, then used his 6-foot-4 frame to get a hand in the passing lane, Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston reported.
