One of the best parts of preseason college football predictions is guessing which bowl game your favorite SEC team will end up playing in at the end of the year.

CollegeFootballNews.com made their preseason predictions on Tuesday, sending 11 SEC squads bowling, as you can see in this article.

From Alabama playing in the College Football Playoff to Mississippi State making a trip to the Independence Bowl, the 11 squads are projected to go to a wide variety of bowls, as you can see below:

  • Sugar Bowl (College Football Playoff semifinal): Alabama vs. Michigan
  • Peach Bowl (New Year’s Six): Georgia vs. South Florida
  • Citrus Bowl (New Year’s Six): Auburn vs. Louisville
  • Texas Bowl: LSU vs. Texas
  • Liberty Bowl: Tennessee vs. Kansas State
  • Belk Bowl: Texas A&M vs. NC State
  • Music City Bowl: Arkansas vs. Georgia Tech
  • Outback Bowl: Florida vs. Penn State
  • TaxSlayer Bowl: South Carolina vs. Michigan State
  • Birmingham Bowl: Mizzou vs. Memphis
  • Independence Bowl: Mississippi State vs. North Carolina

The only teams not projected to qualify for postseason play are Ole Miss, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

There’s still an entire football season to be played, so it’s too early to put these projections in stone, but it’ll be entertaining to see how these picks fare at the end of the year.
