Our friends over at Reddit.com recently compiled videos of the dirtiest plays in college football.

After rewatching all of them, they were certainly some vicious hits.

Be sure and check out Reddit’s thread for the hilarious comments on the subject. There are over 320 comments on it and many more cheap shots than we will post below.

We’ve decided to pick out a few from the SEC and a couple from around college football:

SEC hits

Remember Arkansas’ Marquel Wade illegally hitting Vanderbilt’s Jonathan Krause, who was attempting to field a punt? That certainly made the cut, as Wade was ejected from the game:

Another user pointed out former Mississippi State center Dillon Day stomping on an LSU player. Upon live game footage, it didn’t look too vicious. However, the replay showed otherwise:

Former Auburn DT Nick Fairley was popular on Reddit for his game against Aaron Murray and the Georgia Bulldogs:

Florida LB Brandon Spikes’ eye gouge against Georgia made the cut. Hat tip to the “Captain Insano” video title:

Alabama LB LaMichael Fanning’s body slam against Missouri was also included. The game was clearly in hand and the slam was unnecessary:

Non-SEC

We’re all about the SEC, but some of these hits are so shocking they’re worth another look for any college football fan.

USC’s Troy Polamalu hammered Kansas State’s Aaron Lockett:

Virginia Tech QB Marcus Vick stepping on Louisville’s Elvis Dumervil:

Texas’ Mike Davis and his cheap shot against Iowa State:
