Todd Harris, a four-star safety from Plaquemine, Louisiana, has been participating in The Opening recruiting showcase this weekend in Beaverton, Oregon.

Harris, the No. 7 safety in the class of 2017 and the No. 3 overall recruit from Louisiana, according to 247Sports, announced his final two schools on Saturday.

The 6-foot, 180 pounder will choose between his home-state team, LSU, and Ole Miss.

According to The Clarion-Ledger, it’s not impossible for the Rebels to pry Harris away from Les Miles and the Tigers:

“Ole Miss has a great coaching staff and sends a guy to the league every year,” Harris told The Clarion-Ledger while in Oxford last month. “I can see myself playing in Oxford.”

When asked what it would take for an out-of-state school like Ole Miss to secure his commitment, Harris said, “It’s really all about fit. There are a lot of fans and people telling me to go to LSU and stay home, but for me, I just want to go where I can feel comfortable and I want to go to the school that’s just the best for me.”

Harris has visited both LSU and Ole Miss already. Ole Miss has yet to get a commitment from a 2017 defensive back.
