Claiborne, the Jim Thorpe award winner, doesn’t have much to prove as college football’s top-ranked cover guy with a 4.45 time in the 40-yard dash. Like his teammates, he’ll be interviewed by scouts and perform individual workouts inside the dome.

The LSU offense isn’t going to try to land a one-shot haymaker on BAMA like Florida, Ole Miss or Tennessee. LSU has staying power. The Tigers aren’t going to hang for a half and then fade away into a Tide of oblivion in the second half.

Before anyone saw the fruit of Kragthorpe’s labor on the field, many fans thought Zach Mettenberger would be leading the LSU offense by October. When Jefferson was suspended, most thought Mettenberger would be leading by the second half of the Oregon game. Then something fascinating happened. Lee looked great. The team rallied around him. LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee played very efficiently once again against the Auburn Tigers. Lee threw two touchdown passes on the day.

When LSU wide receiver Rueben Randle was being recruited out of high school, everyone knew this kid would be very good in the SEC at some point in his career. He showed playmaking ability straight out of high school, and many thought he would make a splash as soon as he hit campus.
